Logo Requirements

Design Concept
At Champion System, all we need is an idea or sketch to turn it into reality. Send us a photo, sketch or image and we will convert it into a printable design. From there, you can have as many changes made to this design as you need without any charge. We will continue until you are 100% satisfied.

Logos
Our customers send us all kinds of images and logos. Now not all formats are suitable for sublimation printing on clothing. Most logos that you pick from the internet or download from any other media will be too low resolution to use for sublimation printing. These images are not scalable and will not appear sharp and clear after printing.
For best results when printing your team clothing we prefer the following file formats

Adobe Illustrator - .ai files
Encapsulated Post Script - .eps files
High resolution - about 300 dpi - .pdf files

These are all so-called vector files. This means that these files can be scaled and edited without loss of quality. When using these files, the result of the print will be clear and sharp and give the same result at every size.

To colour
PMS and CYMK colours can have a different effect on every fabric used and by the printing method. At Champion System we always use the latest technology, inks and fabrics from the market leaders. It is therefore possible that the same colour code will have a different result from another supplier. If you want to be 100% sure about how your colours will look on our fabrics, we advise you to request a Colour Swatch for a small fee. It will take us a few days to organise this and send it to you, but then you will have a clear idea of how your colours will look on our clothing. For more information, please contact your representative.

What is Vector Image?
Vector is an image that is created in a vector-based program such as Adobe Illustrator or In design. It is based on lines and figures that are stored as code and can be changed or scaled in no time without any loss of quality or distortion. Vector images have the extension .ai, .eps or .pdf.

The image below shows the difference between a vector logo and a bitmap logo (. jpeg, . jpg, . gif, etc.). When the vector image is enlarged, it remains sharp and tight. With the bitmap version you see that it becomes increasingly blurred. If you send us a bitmap logo, it will not look nice anymore if we have to enlarge it for your clothing.

How do I know that my files are vector files?
If your file ends in JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP or PNG then it is definitely not a vector file. A usable vector file ends in AI, EPS or PDF. If you are unsure whether you have a vector image then email it to your sales representative and he will be able to tell you right away if this is the case.

I don't have any Vector logos. What should I do?
First contact your sponsor to ask if they have a vector file. In most cases companies have these because they need them for all their other printing work. If you really can't get a vector file, no problem, we will redraw it, we do this for free! But give us a few days to arrange this.

I have taken logos from the website, are they usable?
Website logos are never a vector image because they need to have the lowest possible resolution in order to load them as quickly as possible.

What about the logos on business cards?
Sorry, those are also not usable because they have too low a resolution.
